Students are required by the State of Ohio to complete a BCI/FBI background check no later than 60 days prior to the first day of class. For more information call 216-426-7345
Requirements: 100% class attendance. Class times are 8AM-7PM
Description:
An Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission approved course, the Basic Firearms Training course trains the student to the Sate of Ohio standards for Private Security training. The course covers Ohio Revised Code statutes, legal issues, and liability related to the use of firearms. It also addressed areas such as basic marksmanship skills, weapon system selection, shooting techniques, tactical application of firearms, and care and maintenance of firearms. Live range fire covering aspects discussed in the classroom and practice for student performance objectives testing are conducted at the range. Students will be tested both in the classroom and on the range to State of Ohio standards. Each student will receive and Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission certificate upon successful completion.
