This course is limited to 16 students. Designed for the individual that wants to continue the development of their skills, this course moves forward from the skills trained in Basic Firearms Training. The 120 course begins with a brief classroom review and introduction of basic tactical concepts. New methodology is discussed and demonstrated. The course then proceeds to the range to develop skills and techniques that were presented in the classroom. Concepts such as ammunition management cover analysis and usage, low level light and flashlight techniques, positional shooting, and close quarters battle issues are a few examples of the topics that will be addressed. Requirements: Students will be required to bring their own hearing and eye protection, serviceable weapon, belt, holster, flashlight, and a minimum 400 rounds of ammunition. Those students who are using semi-automatic pistols will be required to also bring at least two extra magazines. |
