Description:
The role and impact of the first line supervisor within any organization cannot be overstated. The abilities of the first line supervisor directly impacts the effectiveness of the organization. Oftentimes, this key asset is overlooked. This course is designed to address that problem. The first line supervision course will help the student understand their role within the organization and their relationship with others. It will help the student develop and refine methods of communication, leadership techniques, and supervisory responses. The course will help the student understand the concepts of motivation, civil liability, planning, and decision making. Spread over the course of three weeks, this course provides the student the opportunity to take classroom principles and apply them in the field.
